About the position

HomeWell Care Services is located in Cedar Park, Texas, and we service the Greater Austin Area. We are focused on improving the lives of those we serve and providing a workplace that recognizes the diversity of talents and efforts of our caregivers. We are seeking a compassionate person to care for our client, specifically someone with experience in caring for individuals with Parkinson's Disease and other cognitive issues. This position requires in-person shifts and involves assisting clients with transfers and activities of daily living. The role is crucial in ensuring that our clients receive the personal care and support they need to maintain their quality of life. As a Personal Assistant/Caregiver, you will be responsible for providing personal care and assistance to clients, which includes bathing, dressing, and grooming. You will also remind clients to take their medications according to prescribed schedules, assist with mobility and lifting as needed, prepare meals while ensuring dietary needs are met, and maintain a clean and safe environment for clients. Additionally, you will provide companionship and engage in meaningful activities with clients, adhering to HIPAA regulations to ensure client privacy and confidentiality. This role is vital in fostering a supportive and caring environment for our clients, and we are looking for someone who is passionate about making a difference in their lives.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care and assistance to clients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in nursing home or senior care is preferred.
  • Experience working with individuals with dementia is highly preferred.
  • Ability to lift and assist with mobility as needed.
  • Familiarity with meal preparation for special dietary needs.
  • Understanding of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain client confidentiality.
