About the position

The Personal Assistant role involves providing organizational support and assistance with various tasks around the home of a client. The position is part-time, requiring 10-20 hours of work per month, and includes both independent and collaborative tasks. The assistant will help with decluttering, organizing, and managing household responsibilities, as well as providing support for personal projects such as writing a book.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with organizing and decluttering storage and cabinets.
  • Handle various tasks including research, phone calls, and manual labor such as folding laundry and light gardening.
  • Manage clerical tasks like paying bills, budgeting, and listing/selling items online.
  • Provide basic plant care and light cleaning as needed.
  • Schedule car service and cleaning, and handle insurance claims.
  • Assist with redecorating and touch-up painting.
  • Support with ongoing tasks such as laundry, plant care, and occasional help with dinner parties.

Requirements

  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Strong organizational skills to help declutter and reorganize storage.
  • Ability to handle various tasks including manual labor and clerical work.
  • Good communication skills and pleasant demeanor.
  • No substance abuse or tobacco use.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in writing or research assistance for book writing.
