The Signal Group is seeking a dedicated Personal Assistant to the CEO, based in Novi, MI. This role is pivotal in managing both personal and professional tasks for the CEO, requiring a high level of discretion, professionalism, and attention to detail. The Personal Assistant will be responsible for a variety of errands and tasks that support the CEO's daily life and work, ensuring that both personal and business needs are met efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and the ability to juggle multiple responsibilities while maintaining a high standard of service. In this position, the Personal Assistant will handle personal errands such as grocery shopping, dry cleaning, and car maintenance, as well as manage travel plans for both personal and business purposes. The role also includes maintaining the office kitchen, managing supplies, and ensuring cleanliness. Meal preparation, particularly for lunches during the workweek, is also part of the responsibilities. The Personal Assistant will coordinate maintenance and repairs for both the office and personal residences, manage personal banking tasks, and schedule appointments for the CEO and family members. Additionally, the Personal Assistant will be responsible for organizing and maintaining filing systems, planning company-wide events, and providing administrative support. Flexibility is essential, as the role may require working beyond traditional hours to accommodate the CEO's schedule and needs. Responsibilities

  • Manage personal tasks such as errands including dry cleaning, grocery shopping, car maintenance, vet appointments, and prescription pickups.
  • Manage travel plans for personal and business purposes, including flights and accommodations.
  • Maintain inventory of office and kitchen supplies.
  • Ensure cleanliness and stock food and beverages in the office kitchen.
  • Prepare meals, particularly lunches, from Monday to Friday.
  • Schedule and oversee maintenance, repairs, landscaping, and cleaning for the office building and personal households.
  • Manage personal banking tasks, including depositing checks and reconciling bank and credit card statements.
  • Coordinate and manage housekeepers and house managers.
  • Schedule medical appointments for the CEO and family members.
  • Organize and maintain both physical and digital filing systems.
  • Plan and organize company-wide events.
  • Provide administrative support and document management.
  • Support personal projects and responsibilities as needed.
  • Be flexible and willing to work beyond traditional hours.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of previous experience in a similar industry preferred.
  • Experience in hospitality or the service industry is a plus.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record.
  • Experience with Quicken or a similar personal finance management program is required.
  • Strong knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office applications including Outlook and MS Teams is necessary.
  • Outstanding time management and organizational skills are essential.
  • Excellent verbal and oral communication skills are required.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion is crucial.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities is important.
