About the position

Pauline and Thomas Healthcare (P&T) is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving individuals with intellectual, developmental, and physical disabilities. We are currently seeking a Personal Assistant (PA) in College Grove, Tennessee, who will play a crucial role in supporting our clients in achieving independence and enhancing their quality of life. The Personal Assistant will work closely with individuals, providing assistance with daily living activities, personal care, and implementing Individual Support Plans (ISP). This position is vital in fostering meaningful relationships between the individuals we serve and their community, ensuring they feel supported and valued. The Personal Assistant will be responsible for administering medications and maintaining accurate documentation of care provided. Additionally, the PA will accompany individuals to medical appointments, ensuring they receive the necessary care and support. This role requires a compassionate and dedicated individual who is committed to making a positive impact in the lives of those with disabilities. The PA will work in a full-time capacity, with shifts available during weekdays and weekends, providing flexibility in scheduling to meet the needs of our clients. Responsibilities

  • Responsible for 1 individual
  • Assist individuals with disabilities with their daily living and independence skills/personal care
  • Implement Individual Support Plans (ISP)
  • Administer medication(s) and complete appropriate documentation
  • Accompany person supported to medical appointments
  • Foster a meaningful relationship between the individuals and their community

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Valid Driver's License
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • I9 Identification (Social Security Card, Passport, etc.)
  • Required to walk or stand regularly
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Must be able to crawl, kneel, climb, stop and squat
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate verbally in English
