About the position

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Assistant to provide essential support in a caregiving environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in memory care and patient monitoring, ensuring the well-being and comfort of clients while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
• Monitor patients' health status and report any changes or concerns to healthcare professionals.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
• Implement care plans as directed by healthcare providers, ensuring adherence to best practices in hospice care and memory care.
• Maintain accurate records of patient care and activities, ensuring confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Administer first aid and CPR when necessary, responding promptly to emergencies.
• Collaborate with social workers and nursing home staff to coordinate comprehensive care for clients.

Requirements

• Previous experience in personal assistance or caregiving roles is preferred, particularly in memory care or hospice settings.
• Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques and familiarity with ADLs is essential.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work empathetically with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining client confidentiality.
