We are seeking a proactive and highly organized Personal Assistant to support a busy two-income household in the Hudson Valley. This role requires someone who can think one to two steps ahead, anticipate needs, and manage multiple responsibilities with precision and discretion. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who goes beyond just following rules, demonstrates excellent attention to detail and follow-through, and brings a creative problem-solving mindset to navigate any challenges that arise. This position requires someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and can provide support for the family, including managing tasks related to maintaining two homes and assisting with various personal and household needs.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the scheduling and coordination of routine maintenance and repairs for two homes in the Hudson Valley.
  • Schedule and manage personal appointments, including medical, dental, and other necessary engagements for all family members.
  • Conduct weekly grocery shopping, manage household inventories, and handle any additional errands such as returns or picking up special items.
  • Ensure cash is left weekly for cleaning services, manage household supplies, and maintain organization systems to keep the home running smoothly.
  • Oversee and manage all household deliveries and returns, ensuring timely and accurate receipt and dispatch.
  • Provide support in managing the specific needs of a special needs child, coordinating any additional resources, appointments, or services required.
  • Assist with planning and organizing family events, and manage travel arrangements as needed.
  • Handle administrative tasks, such as managing mail, filing documents, and providing assistance with any personal projects or household administrative needs.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar role or relevant experience managing household tasks.
  • Strong references showcasing reliability, trustworthiness, and the ability to manage a range of responsibilities.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed.
