About the position
As a Personal Banker at Provident Bank, your primary role is to establish relationships with customers and prospective customers to understand, identify, and satisfy their financial needs while providing a positive customer experience. This dynamic position involves both transaction and sales/service duties, with responsibilities that may vary based on the branch's needs. You will be responsible for processing financial transactions, promoting bank products, and managing customer relationships to meet sales expectations.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain relationships with customers to understand their financial needs.
- Process a variety of financial transactions including opening accounts, check cashing, and loan payments.
- Meet sales referrals and cross-selling goals by promoting bank products and services.
- Assist customers with digital technologies and provide referrals to other lines of business.
- Ensure operational and financial safety in accordance with bank policies and regulations.
- Assist branch management with daily operations and reporting tasks.
- Train other branch employees as needed and provide support to the contact center during high call volumes.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 6 months of sales and service experience in a customer-facing retail environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including listening, written, and verbal communication.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs.
- Strong math and analytical skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and ability to learn various computer programs quickly.
