About the position

The Personal Banker I at BOK Financial is responsible for delivering exceptional client experiences and building long-term relationships with clients. This role involves providing solutions for account activity, teller transactions, and various banking products, ensuring that client needs are met efficiently and effectively. The Personal Banker will engage with clients through multiple communication channels, including in-person, phone, and digital platforms, to enhance their banking experience and support their financial goals.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional client experience to build, expand, and retain long-term client relationships.
  • Conduct consultative conversations with existing and prospective clients to assess their financial needs and recommend bank products and services.
  • Open a full range of retail products, including loan products, for new and existing clients during routine banking center service and teller transactions.
  • Educate clients about bank services such as online banking, Bill Pay, E-Statements, and mobile and ATM deposit capabilities.
  • Resolve a variety of simple to moderate client problems while ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Perform various teller transactions, including cashing checks and processing account withdrawals, while seeking opportunities to deepen client relationships.
  • Comply with internal control, audit, security, and compliance policies and procedures.
  • Participate in professional development through training and self-improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; minimum of 1+ years of sales or customer service experience; college degree is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of consumer financial products and services.
  • Experience in banking, retail sales operations, or contact center operations including phone, email, and chat support.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills for providing customer information and resolving issues.
  • Strong written communication skills with professional etiquette and proper grammar.
  • Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to follow established standards and use judgment for escalation when necessary.
  • Strong basic math skills for account reconciliation.
  • Proficient in PC applications including word processing and spreadsheets, with the ability to learn internal systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including sales and client relations skills.
