About the position

The Personal Banker I role at Academy Bank involves engaging with clients to promote bank products and services, ensuring an excellent client experience, and conducting accurate banking transactions in a fast-paced environment. The position focuses on achieving sales goals, expanding business with current clients, and providing personalized service while adhering to company policies and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Achieve specific sales goals on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis by performing activities in the bank's sales cycle.
• Identify and engage prospects, recommend products based on needs, and ensure superior product delivery for consumer and small business banking products and services.
• Onboard clients to maximize product benefits and expand business with current clients through referrals.
• Provide "fast, easy, and personal" service consistent with Company standards, including resolving problems and handling special requests.
• Demonstrate digital expertise by using digital platforms and educating clients about online banking, bill pay, mobile banking app, and other features.
• Conduct operational tasks for servicing clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and bank regulations.
• Protect all client and bank information confidentially and follow all company policies.
• Understand, communicate, and instill the Company's mission, vision, and values (Pillars of Success).
• Complete monthly training in a timely manner to ensure knowledge of bank regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures.

Requirements

• Ability and desire to engage with people in a sales environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to complete work accurately.
• Ability to organize work effectively.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
• Basic math skills including cash counting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of work experience required.
• Minimum 6 months sales and customer service experience required.
• Previous banking experience preferred.
• Minimum 6 months cash handling experience preferred.
