About the position

The Member Financial Specialist at UNIFY Financial Credit Union plays a crucial role in providing exceptional service to credit union members. This position focuses on understanding members' financial needs, resolving issues related to their accounts, and offering tailored financial solutions. The role emphasizes relationship-building and proactive outreach to enhance membership and loan growth, all while fostering a supportive and inclusive environment.

Responsibilities

• Listen to understand members' needs and resolve issues regarding their financial products.
• Provide solutions based on training and available resources.
• Build relationships with credit union members and teammates.
• Make outbound follow-up calls to credit union members.
• Facilitate the opening of accounts and recommend related Credit Union products and services based on financial needs analysis.
• Manage assigned member base and uncover additional financial needs through referrals and outbound tele-consulting.
• Perform functions related to Consumer and Real Estate loans, including accepting applications and processing them according to policies.
• Record daily quality conversations with members and create new member profiles.
• Implement and monitor product campaigns at branches to meet goals.
• Develop and maintain relationships with Investment, Insurance, and Mortgage business partners for referral opportunities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of six months customer service or sales experience, preferably in a financial institution.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook applications.
• Willingness to gain lending certification within three months of hire.
• Willingness to gain Notary Certification within three months of hire.

Nice-to-haves

• Bilingual skills are preferred.
• Experience in financial services or credit unions.
