As a Personal Banker in the Grand Island Market Branches, you will play a crucial role in helping consumer and small business customers succeed financially. This position requires a proactive approach to customer engagement, where you will initiate conversations to understand their financial needs and offer tailored solutions that align with those needs. You will be responsible for maintaining a comprehensive knowledge of Wells Fargo's products and services, ensuring that you can effectively assist customers in navigating their banking options. Your role will involve assisting customers with opening new accounts, completing service requests, and submitting credit applications. You will also be tasked with resolving customer concerns and escalating issues when necessary. Building strong relationships with customers through proactive outreach and follow-up will be essential to your success in this position. Additionally, you will inform customers about self-service digital options to enhance their banking experience and follow established policies and procedures to minimize risk. This position is classified as a SAFE position, which means it involves customer contact and may include offering or negotiating terms for dwelling secured transactions. Compliance with the S.A.F.E. Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 and related regulations is mandatory, and ongoing employment is contingent upon meeting these requirements. You will also be expected to maintain a cash drawer and handle cash transactions, spending a portion of your time on service-related tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional customer experience and build relationships with consumer and small business customers.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience interacting with people, demonstrated through work, military, or education.
  • Customer service focus with experience handling complex transactions across multiple systems.
  • Experience proactively engaging with customers through outreach via phone or email.
  • Ability to educate and connect customers to technology and share the value of mobile banking options.
  • Ability to help customers succeed financially by offering introductions to additional team members as appropriate.
  • Experience working with others on a team to meet customer needs.
  • Experience fostering and developing strong customer relationships.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with internal partners.
  • Ability to follow policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Ability to identify potential fraud/risky accounts and take appropriate action to prevent loss.
  • Ability to interact with integrity and professionalism with customers and team members.

Nice-to-haves

  • Relevant military experience including working with military protocol and instructions, enlisted evaluations, officer/leadership reporting.
  • Relevant military experience including working in personnel benefits management, processing military personnel orders or transitions, wartime readiness operations, human resources or military recruiting.
  • Proficient with proactively sourcing, acquiring, building, and maintaining relationships with customers and colleagues.
