About the position
The Personal Care Aide position at Helping Hands Home Care Service involves providing essential support to clients in their daily lives, ensuring their comfort and well-being. Responsibilities
- Planning and preparing meals, including those with dietary restrictions
- Performing housekeeping tasks such as vacuuming, cleaning kitchens and bathrooms, laundry, and changing bed linens
- Providing companionship and stimulation for the consumer, including activities like reading and walks
- Accompanying the consumer to appointments as needed
- Grocery shopping or running other errands when approved
- Performing personal care tasks for the consumer as needed
- Assisting with ambulation when the consumer uses mechanical aids such as a walker
- Completing other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Must complete the agency's employment process
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must exhibit maturity and responsible behavior
- Must understand consumer confidentiality
- Must be able to follow directions and work as a team
- Must have reliable transportation to and from assignments
- Must pass a drug screen
