About the position

The Personal Care Aide position involves providing compassionate assistance to elderly disabled residents in a Family Care Home setting. The role focuses on personal care and daily living tasks, ensuring the dignity and privacy of residents while fostering a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Administer medication
• Prepare and cook meals
• Light house cleaning
• Keep accurate records
• Attend to residents' Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
• Take residents to appointments and outings
• Participate in scheduled daily activities

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to assist residents with personal care tasks while respecting their dignity and privacy
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and the Administrator
• Integrity, patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to serve elderly residents
• References/work history that can be verified
