About the position

We are seeking compassionate individuals to join our team as Personal Care Assistants (PCAs). In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in need of long-term care, senior care, and hospice care, ensuring their comfort and well-being.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
• Perform light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation
• Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals
• Assist with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary
• Maintain accurate records of care provided
• Adhere to HIPAA regulations and respect client confidentiality

Requirements

• CPR Certification
• Experience in providing personal care services
• Ability to drive and transport clients to appointments or outings
• Knowledge of long-term care practices and senior care needs
• Familiarity with hospice care principles and practices
• Proficiency in medication administration procedures
• Strong interpersonal skills and a caring demeanor
• Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism
• Basic understanding of social work principles in a caregiving setting
• Competence in meal preparation for special dietary needs
