Civility Home Care is seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Aides (PCA) who are fluent in French to provide exceptional personal and companion care in homecare settings. This part-time position offers a flexible schedule, allowing caregivers to work according to their availability, including day, evening, night, and weekend shifts. The role is designed for individuals who are committed to upholding high standards of care and providing quality service to clients in a respectful and caring manner. As a PCA, you will be responsible for assisting clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while adhering to agency policies and industry standards. Responsibilities

  • Provides care such as bathing, grooming, oral care, dressing, undressing, and toileting activities as necessary.
  • Assists with daily tasks including feeding, meal preparation, linen changes, light housekeeping, and providing transportation to doctor appointments, outdoor activities, and shopping.
  • Ensures that service is provided in a caring and respectful manner, in accordance with agency policies and procedures and industry standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Authorized to work in the USA.
  • A current, valid state certification and in good standing preferred.
  • Negative TB skin test or chest x-ray.
  • Minimum one (1) year of documented health care experience is preferred.
  • Licensed driver with insured and reliable automobile is preferred.
  • Empathy for the needs of the client.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English and communicate effectively.
  • Treats clients, staff, and the public with courtesy and respect, presenting a positive professional image.
  • Ensures confidentiality and security of the client's medical information.

Nice-to-haves

  • Fluency in French is preferred.
  • Experience in home care settings is a plus.
