The Personal Care Aide (PCA) position involves providing essential care and support to individuals in various settings, including personal care homes, retirement homes, and group homes. The role is focused on assisting clients with personal hygiene, companionship, medication administration, and household tasks, ensuring their comfort and well-being.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
• Administer medication under the direction of healthcare professionals
• Help with household tasks including meal preparation, light housekeeping, and laundry
• Monitor and record vital signs of clients
• Assist clients with mobility needs including lifting and transferring
• Drive clients to appointments or outings as needed

Requirements

• Bilingual in Spanish
• CPR Certification
• First Aid Certification
• Experience in home care or long-term care settings
• Knowledge of first aid procedures
• Ability to lift and assist with mobility needs
• Proficient in driving for client transportation
• Familiarity with personal care home environments
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication and building relationships with clients
