About the position

Civility Home Care is seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Aides (PCAs) to provide essential care in homecare settings. This part-time position offers flexible scheduling options, allowing caregivers to work according to their availability, including day, evening, overnight, and weekend shifts. The role is centered around delivering high-quality personal and companion care to clients, ensuring their comfort and well-being in a respectful and caring manner. As a PCA, you will be responsible for assisting clients with daily living activities, which may include bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and meal preparation. You will also provide companionship and support, helping clients engage in outdoor activities and attend appointments as needed. Responsibilities

  • Provides care such as bathing, grooming, oral care, dressing, undressing, and toileting activities as necessary.
  • Assists with daily tasks according to the patient's plan of care, including feeding, meal preparation, linen changes, and light housekeeping.
  • Provides transportation to doctor appointments, outdoor activities, and shopping as needed.
  • Ensures that service is provided in a caring and respectful manner, in accordance with agency policies and procedures and industry standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Authorized to work in the USA.
  • A current, valid state certification and in good standing preferred.
  • Negative TB skin test or chest x-ray.
  • Minimum one (1) year of documented health care experience is preferred.
  • Licensed driver with insured and reliable automobile is preferred.
  • Empathy for the needs of the client.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English and communicate effectively.
  • Treats clients, staff, and the public with courtesy and respect, presenting a positive professional image.
  • Ensures confidentiality and security of the client's medical information.
