About the position

The Personal Care Aide (PCA) position at Diamond Adult & Senior Concierge (DASC) involves providing essential personal care and assistance to clients, primarily seniors and individuals with developmental disabilities. The role requires a commitment to supporting daily living activities, ensuring safety, and maintaining a clean and organized environment for clients. This full-time position operates on a night shift schedule, requiring the aide to work 12-hour shifts from 9 PM to 9 AM, with responsibilities that may vary based on individual client needs.

Responsibilities

• Arrive to and from the client's residence in a timely manner
• Provide personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and walking
• Offer companion care through socialization and conversation
• Ensure protective supervision to prevent falls and remove hazards
• Plan and prepare meals, including cooking and cleanup
• Perform light housekeeping tasks such as mopping, sweeping, and laundry
• Assist with errands like grocery shopping and prescription pickups
• Provide limited medication assistance without administering medication
• Assist clients with transferring, ambulating, and positioning
• Notify DASC of any changes in the client's health or home environment
• Maintain proper documentation and follow specific health instructions
• Encourage and praise clients to support positive behavior

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid CPR and First Aid Certification (to be obtained within 30 days after hire)
• Valid identification
• Reliable vehicle
• Pass DOJ/FBI background check
• Negative TB test dated within the past two years

Nice-to-haves
