About the position

The Personal Care Aide (PCA) at SYNERGY HomeCare of Westchester is responsible for providing essential personal care services to clients in their homes, ensuring they maintain a happy, healthy, and independent lifestyle. This role emphasizes compassion and professionalism, with a focus on client well-being and caregiver appreciation. The PCA will work flexible hours, including weekdays and weekends, and will be part of a supportive team that values dedication and hard work.

Responsibilities

• Provide clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, oral care, dressing, toileting, feeding, and mobility assistance.
• Assist clients with mobility devices.
• Provide medication reminders to clients.
• Help with meal preparation and light housekeeping if requested.
• Adhere to policies and procedures set by office administration.
• Collaborate with the Synergy team to ensure proper care for clients.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Personal Care Aide or similar role.
• Completion of Home Health Care Certification(s).
• Successful completion of a thorough background screening.
• Successful completion of a drug screening.
• Completion of a medical physical within the past 10 months with clearance for habituation.
• Evidence of a negative Tuberculosis (TB) test within the last year.
