About the position

The Personal Care Aide (PCA) position at Civility Home Care involves providing compassionate care to clients in homecare settings. The PCA will assist clients with daily living activities while ensuring a respectful and caring environment.

Responsibilities

• Provides care such as bathing, grooming, oral care, dressing, undressing, and toileting activities as necessary.
• Assists with daily tasks including feeding, meal preparation, linen changes, light housekeeping, and providing transportation to appointments and activities.
• Ensures that service is provided in a caring and respectful manner, in accordance with agency policies and procedures and industry standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Authorized to work in the USA.
• A current, valid state certification and in good standing preferred.
• Negative TB skin test or chest x-ray.
• Minimum one (1) year of documented health care experience is preferred.
• Licensed driver with insured and reliable automobile is preferred.
• Empathy for the needs of the client.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English and communicate effectively.
• Treats clients, staff, and the public with courtesy and respect.

Nice-to-haves

• Current state certification in good standing.
