The Personal Care Aide (PCA) position at Right at Home Cleveland West involves providing compassionate care and companionship to clients in the Western Suburbs of Cleveland. Caregivers are expected to maintain a healthy work environment through effective communication with clients and the team.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship to clients
• Assist clients with ambulation
• Prevent client falls through safety and supervision
• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
• Prep/cook meals for clients
• Drive clients to doctor's appointments/errands/activities
• Perform light housekeeping tasks
• Help clients meet nutritional standards
• Perform homemaking activities such as vacuuming, dusting, and laundry.

Requirements

• High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate
• Six months experience as a Personal Care Assistant in healthcare (in homes or facilities)
• Successful completion of state-approved Nurse Aide or Personal Care Assistant course
• Current CPR Certificate is recommended
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job
• Possess a valid driver's license and have use of an insured automobile.
