In your role as a PCA, you will be responsible for caring for the personal hygiene and care needs of patients. You will collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, registered nurses (RNs), licensed practical nurses (LPNs), and aides, to deliver exceptional patient care. Your daily tasks will include assisting patients with bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, eating, and nutritional intake. Additionally, you will help with ambulation, transfers, and range of motion exercises, while also monitoring vital signs, measuring intake/output, and documenting any changes in patient conditions. Observing patients and notifying supervisors of any issues requiring changes in care, medication, or equipment will also be part of your responsibilities.
