About the position

The Personal Care Assistant (PCA) position is a vital role within our facility, focusing on providing compassionate and respectful care to our residents during the 3rd shift, which runs from 10 PM to 6 AM. Under new management, we are seeking reliable and caring individuals who are dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for senior citizens. The PCA will be responsible for a variety of personal care tasks, including assisting residents with their daily routines such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility support. This role requires a warm and approachable demeanor, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with residents, their families, and fellow staff members. In addition to personal care, the PCA will also perform essential housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment for residents. This includes changing bed linens, organizing resident belongings, and ensuring that common areas are tidy and free of clutter. The PCA will be expected to observe residents closely, reporting any changes in their condition to the supervisor promptly. Record-keeping is also a critical aspect of this role, as accurate documentation of care provided is necessary for maintaining high standards of care and compliance with facility policies. The ideal candidate will possess a current Nursing Assistant certification from North Carolina and have completed the required 80-hour Personal Care Task Competency Evaluation. Ongoing education and participation in in-service programs are essential to maintain certification and enhance skills.
