About the position

As a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) and Certified Medication Aide (CMA) at Edgewood, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents. Your primary responsibility will be to provide compassionate care that fosters independence and confidence among our residents during their golden years. In this position, you will be responsible for administering medications according to each resident's individualized care plan. This includes not only passing medications but also assisting residents with personal care tasks such as dressing, bathing, and other activities of daily living (ADLs). It is essential to demonstrate kindness and provide dignity during all interactions with residents, ensuring that they feel respected and cared for. Documentation is a critical aspect of this role, and you will be required to accurately record the care provided to each resident. Adhering to HIPAA regulations and all Edgewood policies is paramount to maintain the privacy and safety of our residents. You will also have the opportunity to train new employees, sharing your knowledge and passion for caregiving with others in the team. Responsibilities

  • Pass medications according to each resident's care plan

Requirements

  • Medication Aide certified, required
  • Prior caregiving experience, desired
