About the position

As a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) and Certified Medication Aide (CMA) at Edgewood, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents. Your primary responsibility will be to provide compassionate and respectful care that fosters independence and confidence among our residents during their golden years. You will be working in a supportive environment where kindness and dignity are paramount in all interactions with residents. This position is available for both full-time and part-time shifts, specifically during the night shift, allowing you to contribute to the well-being of our residents during the hours they need assistance the most. In this role, you will be responsible for administering medications according to each resident's individualized care plan, ensuring that they receive the correct dosages at the appropriate times. Additionally, you will assist residents with personal care tasks, including dressing, bathing, and other activities of daily living (ADLs). It is essential to document all care provided accurately and to adhere to HIPAA regulations and Edgewood's policies to maintain the highest standards of care and confidentiality. Responsibilities

  • Pass medications according to each resident's care plan
  • Help with personal cares such as dressing, assisting with showers and baths, and other activities of daily living (ADLs)

Requirements

  • Medication Aide certified, will train
  • Prior caregiving experience, desired
  • Passion and drive for helping others
