About the position

The Personal Care Assistant (PCA) position at St. Mary's Highland Hills Village is a full-time role focused on providing essential personal care to residents in an assisted living community. This position operates on a day shift schedule from 3 PM to 11 PM on weekdays, with additional responsibilities during every other weekend from 7 PM to 7 AM. The PCA will be responsible for assisting residents with all activities of daily living (ADLs), which may include bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support, ensuring that each resident receives care that aligns with the facility's philosophies, standards, policies, and procedures. The role requires a compassionate approach to care, as well as the ability to work effectively within a team to enhance the quality of life for residents, particularly those with conditions such as Alzheimer's or Dementia. While previous experience in a similar role is preferred, it is not mandatory, making this an entry-level position suitable for individuals looking to start their career in healthcare. The PCA will also be expected to maintain a safe and clean environment for residents, report any changes in residents' conditions to the nursing staff, and participate in ongoing training and development to improve care practices.

Responsibilities
