About the position

As a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) or Home Health Aide with Right at Home, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for seniors in your community. Your primary responsibility will be to provide compassionate care and support to individuals who require assistance with daily activities. This position is not just about performing tasks; it is about building meaningful relationships with clients and helping them maintain their independence and dignity. You will engage with clients in a way that promotes their well-being and happiness, ensuring they feel valued and cared for. Your daily tasks will include meal preparation, local transportation, companionship, and medication reminders. You will be responsible for assisting clients with their personal care needs, which may involve bathing, grooming, and dressing. Additionally, you will provide emotional support and companionship, helping to alleviate feelings of loneliness and isolation that many seniors experience. Your role is vital in creating a positive and encouraging environment for clients, allowing them to enjoy life to the fullest. Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care and assistance to clients in their daily activities.
  • Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed.
  • Offer companionship and emotional support to clients.
  • Assist clients with medication reminders and management.
  • Provide local transportation for clients to appointments or errands.
  • Help clients with personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.

Requirements

  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen test.
  • CNA certification is preferred but not mandatory.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in caregiving or a related field is a plus.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families.
  • Compassionate and patient demeanor.
