The Personal Care Assistant/Home Health Aide role involves providing essential support and assistance to individuals in need, particularly seniors. Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to clients in their daily activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication administration.
• Assist with household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and grocery shopping.
• Offer emotional support and companionship to clients.
• Coordinate appointments and transportation for clients as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions and progress.
• Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain client confidentiality.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Provide assistance with mobility and transfers for clients with physical limitations.

Requirements

• Previous experience in social work or a related field is preferred.
• Knowledge of dementia care techniques and strategies.
• Familiarity with medication administration protocols.
• Understanding of senior care needs and best practices.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to adapt to changing situations and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of childcare practices is a plus.
• Familiarity with nursing home operations is beneficial.
