The Personal Care Assistant (Part-time) position at our Independent Living Home Care Agency involves providing essential support and assistance to individuals in need, ensuring their well-being and comfort. This role is crucial for enhancing the quality of life for clients through compassionate care and effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support and assistance to clients in their daily activities
• Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
• Monitor and record vital signs as needed
• Provide medication reminders
• Assist with mobility and transfers, including the use of lifting equipment if necessary
• Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment
• Provide companionship and engage in meaningful activities with clients
• Implement behavior management strategies as directed by supervisors
• Maintain accurate documentation of client care and progress

Requirements

• Previous experience in senior care or patient care is preferred
• Knowledge of Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and personal care techniques
• Ability to perform direct support tasks with empathy, patience, and professionalism
• Familiarity with behavior management techniques is a plus
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions accurately
• Reliable transportation to travel to client locations for home care services
