About the position

As a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) at Community Resources for Independence (CRI), you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals in the Erie area. This part-time position offers flexible hours, primarily from 9 am to 1:30 pm, and requires availability to work every other weekend. Your responsibilities will include accompanying clients on walks and engaging in fun community activities, assisting them with errands such as shopping and appointments, and helping them achieve their personal goals. You will also provide support with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and personal care tasks, with training provided to help you master these essential skills. This role is not just about caregiving; it’s about empowering individuals to live independently and actively participate in their communities. At CRI, we are committed to your success and growth. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Possess a high school diploma or GED.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle with valid auto insurance.
  • Must be able to pass various background checks.
  • Must be able to work every other weekend, holidays, and on-call rotation.
