About the position

As a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) at Community Resources for Independence (CRI), you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals in the Erie area. This position is designed for compassionate individuals who are eager to support clients in their daily activities and help them achieve their personal goals. You will be responsible for accompanying clients on walks, engaging in fun community activities, and assisting them with errands such as appointments and shopping. Your role will also include providing essential support with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and personal care tasks, ensuring that clients can live independently and feel empowered within their community. The position offers flexible part-time hours, primarily in the evenings, with available shifts from 2 PM to 8 PM or 6 PM to 10 PM. You will be required to work every other weekend, which is essential for maintaining continuity of care for the clients. CRI is committed to your success and provides paid initial and ongoing training, both in the classroom and online, to equip you with the necessary skills to support your clients effectively. You will also receive coaching and mentoring from supervisors, schedulers, and trainers who are available 24/7 to assist you. Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Possess a high school diploma or GED.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle with valid auto insurance.
  • Must be able to pass various background checks.
  • Must be able to work every other weekend, holidays, and on-call rotation.
