The Personal Care Assistant (PCA) role is a part-time position focused on providing essential support to individuals requiring assistance with daily living activities. Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Monitor and record vital signs as needed, ensuring any changes are communicated to healthcare professionals.
• Provide companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote emotional well-being.
• Support clients with mobility and transportation needs, including driving them to appointments or social events.
• Implement behavior management strategies for clients with disabilities or special needs.
• Assist with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop personalized care plans that meet individual client needs.

Requirements

• CPR Certification
• 1 year of caregiving experience
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Experience in home care, social work, or direct support roles is preferred
• Familiarity with vital signs monitoring and first aid practices is advantageous
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with clients.
