About the position

The Personal Care Assistant (PCA) role at Grace Management Services involves providing essential support to residents in an assisted living facility. The PCA is responsible for assisting residents with daily activities, ensuring their comfort and safety, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. This position requires a compassionate individual who can effectively communicate with residents and their families while adhering to established care standards and protocols.

Responsibilities

• Follow established performance standards and perform duties according to Sprenger Health Care policies and procedures.
• Identify special resident problems and report them immediately to your supervisor.
• Assist residents when getting out of and getting into chairs or wheelchairs.
• Assist with passing water pitchers and trays in the dining room.
• Remind residents of all meal times and assist them to the dining room as needed.
• Assist with keeping rooms neat.
• Provide individual attention to residents when time allows, such as taking them for walks or conducting small group activities.
• Document as required and report changes in residents' conditions to the supervisor or nurse assigned.
• Listen to resident and family complaints and report information to the supervisor.
• Assist with stocking of laundry and linens in the halls.
• Perform other related duties as directed by the Administrator or the Director of Nursing.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
• Ability to pass Nurse Aide Certification class.
• Basic computer skills.
