About the position

The Personal Care Assistant (PCA) / Caregiver Aide position at Notre Dame Health Care Center involves providing compassionate care to residents in an assisted living environment. The role focuses on assisting residents with their daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being, and participating in recreational activities. This position is available in both full-time and part-time capacities, with shifts covering mornings and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADL), including transport, transfer, mobility, mealtime assistance, and personal care needs.
• Participate in program transition times, including daily arrival and departure, participant transporting, meals, and activity setup and cleanup.
• Set up, distribute, and clean up after lunch and snacks.
• Assist in implementing day program recreational activities with the Activities Coordinator.
• Complete daily ADL flow sheets and other documentation as needed.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

• MA certification as a Nursing Assistant or Home Health Aide in good standing required.
• Minimum 2-5 years of home health aide/C.N.A. experience preferred, but not required.
