As a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) with Sweet Homemaker, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional care to our clients in their homes. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming patients. You will assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring that patients are safe and comfortable during these activities. Additionally, you will administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals and monitor vital signs, reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate medical personnel. Providing emotional support and companionship to patients and their families is also a key aspect of this position, as it helps foster a positive and caring environment. Maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients is essential, and you will be expected to perform light housekeeping duties as needed. Requirements

  • Ability to cook simple meals and perform light housekeeping duties as needed.
  • Satisfactory completion of New York State Health Department-approved HHA Training Program or equivalency.
  • Demonstrated adequate literacy and simple arithmetic skills.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Able to read and write at a 5th grade level.
  • Reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and valid car insurance.
