About the position

The Personal Care Assistant (PCA) role at Genesis Healthcare involves providing essential support to residents in a Senior Living Community, assisting them with daily activities to promote an independent lifestyle. The position emphasizes delivering high-quality service in a compassionate environment, ensuring residents' needs and rights are respected.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with bathing, eating, dressing, and personal hygiene as needed.
• Inform supervisor and other staff of changes in residents' conditions and needs and document these observations thoroughly.
• Follow procedure for medication reminders to ensure correct day, time, and that they are being taken.
• Answer emergency call lights and respond appropriately.
• Perform dining room duties and assist with dining needs of residents.

Requirements

• Current certificate in an accredited First Aid course and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is required.
• Participation in medication course is required.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language to ensure the safety and well-being of our patients and visitors.
