The Personal Care Assistant (PCA) role involves providing support and maintaining a safe and clean environment for patients under supervision. This part-time position requires effective communication and the ability to perform various personal care tasks while ensuring compliance with office policies and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain a safe clean environment for the patient.
• Provide light housekeeping tasks such as meal preparation and laundering personal garments.
• Maintain a chronological written record of service and submit timesheets on time.
• Report any unusual incidents or changes in the patient's behavior to the appropriate supervisor.
• Provide companionship for the patient and assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, and meal preparations.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Sufficient education and language skills to speak, read, understand written orders, and write basic reports.
• Ability to communicate information concerning a patient's condition clearly.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to move intermittently throughout the workday, including sitting, standing, bending, pushing, pulling, or moving objects.
• Ability to relate to and work with various personality styles, illnesses, disabilities, and the elderly.
• Must read, write, and communicate in English.
