About the position

The Personal Care Assistant (PCA) role involves providing essential personal care and support to residents in a healthcare setting. The position focuses on assisting with daily living activities, ensuring residents' comfort, dignity, and well-being, while adhering to professional standards and facility policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance to residents, including showering, bathing, dressing, and eating.
• Adhere to professional standards and facility policies regarding resident care.
• Answer calls for assistance and observe changes in residents' behavior, emotional state, or physical condition, reporting any changes to the Nurse.
• Implement individualized care plans and offer support to residents to maintain their dignity, privacy, and comfort.
• Provide care that exceeds the residents' physical, social, and mental needs.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to carefully read and follow directions.
• Flexibility in work duties and schedule.
• Good teamwork skills.
• Ability to lift and move patients.

Nice-to-haves

• 1 year of caregiving experience (preferred).
