About the position

Join us as a part-time or full-time Personal Care Assistant at Langdon Place of Exeter, an extraordinary senior living community. In this role, you will embark on your nursing career journey by providing essential assistance to residents with their basic activities of daily living. Your primary focus will be to support an independent lifestyle for our residents within the Senior Living Community. It is crucial that you ensure our residents receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere that recognizes their individual needs and rights. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will assist residents with bathing, eating, dressing, and personal hygiene as needed. You will also be responsible for informing your supervisor and other staff members of any changes in residents' conditions and needs, documenting these observations thoroughly. Following procedures for medication reminders is essential to ensure that medications are taken at the correct day and time. Additionally, you will respond appropriately to emergency call lights, ensuring that residents receive timely assistance. This position is not only about providing care but also about fostering a supportive environment where residents feel valued and respected. Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with bathing, eating, dressing, and personal hygiene as needed.
  • Inform supervisor and other staff of changes in residents' conditions and needs and document these observations thoroughly.
  • Follow procedure for medication reminders to ensure correct day, time, and that they are being taken.
  • Answer emergency call lights and respond appropriately.

  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language to ensure the safety and well-being of our residents and visitors and respond to their medical and physical needs.
