About the position

Granite Ledges of Concord is seeking dedicated Personal Care Assistants (PCA) for per-diem opportunities. In this role, you will be instrumental in providing assistance to residents with their basic activities of daily living, ensuring they maintain an independent lifestyle within our Senior Living Community. Your primary focus will be to deliver the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere that respects the individual needs and rights of each resident. As a PCA, you will assist residents with essential tasks such as bathing, eating, dressing, and personal hygiene. It is crucial to inform supervisors and other staff members of any changes in residents' conditions and needs, documenting these observations thoroughly. You will also follow procedures for medication reminders, ensuring that medications are taken at the correct times. Responding to emergency call lights and assisting with dining room duties are also key responsibilities of this position. Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with bathing, eating, dressing, and personal hygiene as needed.
  • Inform supervisor and other staff of changes in residents' conditions and needs and document these observations thoroughly.
  • Follow procedure for medication reminders to ensure correct day, time, and that they are being taken.
  • Answer emergency call lights and respond appropriately.
  • Perform dining room duties and assist with dining needs of residents.

Requirements

  • Current certificate in an accredited First Aid course and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is required.
  • Participation in medication course is required.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language to ensure the safety and well-being of our patients and visitors.
