The Personal Care Assistant (PCA) role involves providing compassionate and reliable support to clients in their daily living activities. This position is essential for enhancing the quality of life for seniors by assisting with personal care tasks, mobility, medication reminders, meal preparation, and companionship. The PCA will work flexible hours, including weekends, to meet the needs of clients.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
• Provide assistance with mobility and transfers
• Administer medication reminders as directed by healthcare professionals
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding if necessary
• Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and laundry
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous caregiving experience in a similar role preferred
• CPR and First Aid certification is a plus
• Ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with clients
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
