About the position

Come join our team as a compassionate and dedicated CNA or PCA for an exciting opportunity in Georgia! We are currently seeking individuals who are available for 7pm-7am shifts or 30 hours per week to provide personalized care to our valued clients. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will be responsible for providing essential care and support to clients in their homes, ensuring their comfort and safety while promoting their independence. You will work closely with the Care the Wright Way Supervisor to implement service plans and report on client progress. Your role will involve a variety of tasks, including assisting clients with daily living activities, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and providing companionship. This position requires a strong commitment to quality care and the ability to work effectively under supervision. In this role, you will be expected to perform ambulation, transfers, and positioning of clients, as well as assist with bathing, grooming, shaving, dental care, dressing, and eating. You will also be responsible for basic first aid and CPR, meeting clients' special needs, and ensuring home management, safety, and sanitation. Additionally, you will engage in medically related activities, including taking vital signs and ensuring proper nutrition. Regular communication with the Care the Wright Way Supervisor is essential to discuss service plans and client assignments. Responsibilities

  • Ambulation, transfers, and positioning of clients.
  • Assistance with bathing, grooming, shaving, dental care, dressing, and eating.
  • Basic first aid & CPR, meeting client's special needs, home management, home safety & sanitation, infection control in the home.
  • Medically related activities including taking of vital signs & proper nutrition.
  • Implement current Personal Care Aide services and discuss service plans of care with the Care the Wright Way Supervisor.
  • Receive client assignments and reports from the Care the Wright Way Supervisor.

Requirements

  • High school graduation or GED required.
  • GA-registered CNA or completion of the NLN exam online and assessment of competency for services to be performed, or completion of an approved 40-hour training curriculum and assessment of competency program approved by the GA Department of Community Health.
  • One year full-time experience in personal care or an institutional setting, such as a hospital or nursing home, or one year full-time experience within the last five years in direct client care in a home care agency setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to read, write, and carry out directions.
  • Good verbal and written communications skills required.
  • Ability to work closely supervised to ensure competence in providing client care.
