About the position

Right at Home is seeking dedicated Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) to provide essential care and support to clients in various locations including Norwich, Lebanon, Lisbon, and Colchester. This role is crucial in ensuring that clients receive the personal care they need to maintain their dignity and quality of life. As a PCA, you will be responsible for assisting clients with daily living activities, which may include personal hygiene tasks such as bed baths, restroom assistance, and showering. You will also provide companionship and support for clients with conditions such as dementia or Parkinson's, helping them navigate their daily routines with care and compassion. In addition to personal care, you will perform various homemaking activities to maintain a clean and safe environment for clients. This includes tasks such as vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, doing dishes, changing bed linens, cleaning bathrooms, and laundry. You will also be responsible for driving clients to appointments and grocery shopping, which requires a valid driver's license and access to an insured vehicle. The role may involve working flexible hours, including day shifts, overnight shifts, and weekends as needed, allowing you to choose a schedule that fits your lifestyle. Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bed baths, restroom assistance, and showering.

Requirements

  • High School graduate or G.E.D certificate preferred.
  • 1 year of caregiving experience preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and have use of an insured motor vehicle.
