About the position

The Personal Care Assistant (PCA) role at Elite Home Care involves providing compassionate and professional care to clients in their daily living activities. The PCA will assist clients with personal care needs, ensure their comfort and safety, and promote their independence and dignity. This part-time, contract position offers flexible scheduling and opportunities for advancement within a supportive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care needs such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed.
• Provide medication reminders and assist with prescribed exercises.
• Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities.
• Monitor and report changes in client's health status to family members and healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate records of care provided and adhere to care plans.
• Follow all safety protocols and emergency procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience as a caregiver or in a related field preferred.
• 10 Hour Basic Training Course.
• TB Test.
• Physical CPR and First Aid certification.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Patience, compassion, and a positive attitude.
• Ability to handle physical demands of the job, including lifting and transferring clients.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
