About the position

The Wright Household is seeking dedicated and compassionate Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) to provide essential support to individuals with disabilities. Established in 2003, our organization has over 15 years of experience working with Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), Direct Support Professionals, and caregivers in the Bayou Region. Since 2016, we have embraced the Self-Direction Option through the Louisiana Department of Health, allowing us to operate independently and directly manage our staff. This autonomy has enabled us to take control of payroll, recruitment, training, supervision, and overall management of our caregiving services. As a PCA, you will be responsible for assisting clients with personal care activities, which include bathing, grooming, dressing, feeding, and helping with bathroom needs. In addition to personal care, you will perform household duties such as meal preparation and general housekeeping tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and laundry. You will also assist clients with mobility, transferring, repositioning, and transportation as needed. It is crucial to maintain a safe and friendly work environment while effectively communicating with both the employer and other employees, providing regular feedback on the care provided. This full-time position requires availability for morning and evening shifts, with specific hours outlined for each day of the week. The role demands physical stamina, as you may need to lift or move clients weighing up to 50 pounds. We are looking for individuals who are well-organized, reliable, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A positive and compassionate attitude is essential for success in this role, as is the ability to work some holidays and weekends. If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others and have the necessary qualifications, we encourage you to apply.
