About the position

Immediate openings for Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) at Right at Home Colorado Springs! In this position, you will perform a variety of personal care activities that assist clients with their daily living needs. Responsibilities

  • Assisting with transferring/moving clients from place to place throughout their home
  • Performing housekeeping activities such as vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry, and cleaning the bathroom
  • Preparing meals and snacks according to instructions
  • Accompanying clients on errands or medical appointments
  • Bathing, showering, dressing, and shaving clients
  • Providing medication reminders
  • Assisting with prescribed range of motion exercises
  • Offering dementia care
  • Engaging in companionship activities such as reading, music, puzzles, etc.

Requirements

  • Must live in or be willing to commute to Woodland Park (80863)
  • High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate preferred
  • Must be able to lift/move 50 lbs without assistance
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job
  • Possess a valid driver's license and current automobile insurance
  • Pass a background check
  • Possess or willing to obtain a valid TB test
  • Home Health Aide, Personal Care Aide certification preferred
