The Personal Care Assistant role involves providing dedicated support and care for a young adult with autism in Kensington, MD. The position is part-time, primarily focused on weekends, and requires a compassionate individual who can assist with personal care, leisure activities, and life skills learning. Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and supervision in the home and community.
• Assist with personal care tasks and life skills learning.
• Engage in leisure activities and community outings with the client.
• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor while interacting with the client.
• Help foster independent living skills for the individual with autism.

Requirements

• Must have a valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
• Must have CPR Certification or be willing to obtain it with reimbursement available.
• At least 1 year of experience in caregiving is required.
• Must be at least 18 years old and willing to submit to a background check.
• Must be fully immunized for COVID-19 (vaccinated and boosted).
• Ability to physically perform the duties required, including getting down on the floor and moving quickly if necessary.
