About the position

As a Personal Care Assistant at Wallick Communities, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for residents by providing direct care and support. This position involves working collaboratively with a team to ensure that residents feel safe, comfortable, and engaged in their daily activities. You will be responsible for assisting with personal hygiene, nutrition, and overall well-being, while also fostering a compassionate and inclusive environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional personal service and daily care to residents.
• Communicate effectively with residents, staff management, and families.
• Knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures.
• Provide physical resident care, including personal hygiene and grooming.
• Respond to call lights in a timely manner and address residents' needs accordingly.
• Assist in maintaining acceptable nutrition for residents and document meal intake.
• Know proper techniques for first aid.
• Complete documentation of medication reminders.
• Assist in maintaining a therapeutic environment for residents.
• Motivate and encourage resident involvement in activities.
• Assist residents to and from activities.
• Lift, turn, and reposition residents as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• CPR Certification
• High School Diploma or GED
• Customer service skills
• Writing skills
• Knowledge of nursing and medical practices
• Experience in Assisted Living or Memory Care is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

• Nurse Aide Certification is a plus but not required.
