About the position

The Supported Living Group (SLG) is a community-based organization that provides non-medical support services to individuals with disabilities throughout Connecticut. Founded in 2006 and headquartered in Danielson, SLG has expanded its reach with additional program locations in Avon and Bethany. The organization is dedicated to offering person-centered support that enhances the quality of life for those it serves. As a Personal Care Assistant (PCA), you will play a crucial role in assisting individuals with daily living activities, ensuring they receive the care and support they need to thrive in their communities. In this position, you will be responsible for providing assistance with essential activities such as eating, bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene. You may also be required to supervise and cue individuals during these activities without providing hands-on assistance. The role demands a commitment to the health and well-being of others, as well as the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. Flexibility is key, as you will be working in the homes and communities of the individuals we serve, which may require varying hours and shifts. SLG operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to meet the needs of the individuals we support. This means that you will have the opportunity to work various shifts, including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, allowing for a flexible work schedule. The organization believes that every individual has the right to reside in their chosen community while being supported to pursue meaningful life and professional goals. If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities and are ready to embody SLG's philosophy, we encourage you to apply and join our dedicated team.
