The Personal Care Assistant (PCA) position is a vital role within the Burke County Schools, specifically designed to support disabled students in their daily activities and educational pursuits. The PCA will work closely with students who require additional assistance to ensure they can fully participate in the Exceptional Children's program. This role is crucial in helping students achieve their Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and requirements, providing both physical and emotional support as needed. The PCA will be responsible for assisting students with personal care tasks, which may include lavatory assistance, clothing hygiene, diapering, toileting, and wash-up routines.
